Haley & Jacob were married in a beautiful ceremony in front of family and friends at The Woods Baptist Church in Tyler this past weekend. As I was taking their first photos as husband and wife, they both could not stop smiling. These two can definitely make each other laugh! (so important!) There were many lovely and personal details in this wedding from the floral arrangements made by family to the beautiful bride and groom's cakes.
It has been a pleasure working with these two and their sweet families. Congratulations Haley & Jacob and thank you for letting me capture your beautiful day!
Skylar & Connor were married in a beautiful, intimate ceremony this past weekend at Miss Mary’s Place in Longview. It has been great working with this sweet couple- they have wonderful personalities and a chemistry that is evident in their photos. I loved that they had an unplugged ceremony- meaning that they displayed a sign kindly asking for guests to not use cel phones etc. during the ceremony. From a photographer’s standpoint this is super and really makes ceremony photos less cluttered without all the extra screens in the photos. I think it also lets the guests be more present in the moment, so a great idea overall! After the ceremony, (and a downpour of rain!) the couple partied with friends and family under the chandeliers and twinkle lights inside the barn.
Thank you to Skylar & Connor and their sweet families for allowing me to capture your beautiful day. Venue- Miss Mary’s Place, Longview. Flowers- Ann’s Petals, Longview. Catering- Perfect Catering. DJ- Deaf Cat Mobile DJ. Victoria Morris-Makeup.
As a photographer, the best compliment I can receive is to be asked to take photos for a family as they grow and change through the years. So I was very excited to meet up with Davia and her family for Daevon’s senior photos, as well as take some family photos. I have been taking photos of Davia and her family since 2012! My how time flies!
We met up in downtown Tyler, and also took a few pictures along the Azalea trail, which is in full, beautiful bloom at the moment!
Along with participating in track and basketball at school, Daevon is also a great big brother! Congratulations Daevon on your graduation!
I had so much fun meeting up with Maggie & Cameron at The Boulders on Lake Tyler for their engagement shoot. These two are adorable together and have such great chemistry. It was a perfect evening for photos- albeit a bit buggy! No joke, I had to edit some of the mosquitoes out of the photos! But it is that time of year in Texas :P
There was an absolutely gorgeous cotton candy sunset which made for some great photos. Thanks so much for a fun shoot guys, looking forward to the wedding! It will be here before you know it!
I'm going to get a little nostalgic here! I have been blessed with having older siblings (about 10 years older than me- I always like to remind them of that fact!) In the year 2000, when I was 13 years old, I became an Aunt to my first nephew, Eric.
I have always LOVED being an Aunt to so many nieces and nephews- it has given me a lot of practice when it comes to raising my own kids now! When Eric was little, no older than 2 or 3, he would follow me around and imitate me, as you can see below where we are both striking the same pose! Try not to envy my braces or awesome late 1990s glasses. Oh and I definitely have a turtle sand box in my back yard now, just like the one you can see through the window here!
Fast forward to 2018 and Eric is a senior in high school preparing to graduate. I don't even want to think about how old that makes me feel! We are so proud of what a caring, fun and funny, hard-working, talented, Christian man you are. We love you Eric and Congratulations on your graduation!
I met up with Skylar and Connor on an absolutely FREEZING afternoon for their engagement session this past weekend. These two were absolute troopers! Thank goodness there was a fire pit to provide some warmth during breaks! I had fun getting to know this sweet couple as we braved the elements together. These two have a natural chemistry and it really comes across on camera. I especially enjoyed the waterfall and awesome Dr. Pepper sign at The Boulders.
Thank you two for an awesome session!
I met up with Casie and her family this past weekend at their place, hoping to take advantage of the mild fall weather and get some photos outside. Well, this is Texas after all and wouldn't you know it, there were 20-25 mph winds that afternoon! So we improvised and took the shoot indoors. Luckily, they are all so photogenic that it doesn't matter where they are photographed! :) And also there's the fact that Casie's house has some really great spots for photos.
Thank you guys for being flexible- let's meet up again soon and try for outdoor photos!!
