For weddings and engagements, my main aim is to capture the unique dynamic between you and your significant other, the love that is between the two of you. My goal is not to make you pose like a fashion model. My goal is for you to have the freedom to be yourself in front of the camera. There is a comfort level I want clients to have with me so that they can be themselves while I take their photos. I've had many people tell me in preliminary meetings that one of their concerns is 'freezing up' in front of a camera or not knowing what to do. It always makes me happy when clients remark after an engagement session or bridal session with me that the photo session was actually FUN and easy! Establishing a rapport with your photographer is so important and simply makes for better photos! Stylistically, I take sharp, colorful photos as well as photos with a little grain to them.
How long have you been a wedding photographer and what kinds of qualifications do you have?
2019 is my 9th year in business as a full time wedding photographer. Before that, I worked as a graphic designer and photographer for local magazines and publications. I decided to focus mainly on wedding and engagement photography because I love working with couples during this special time in their lives. I have a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design which has made all the difference when it comes to the way I approach editing photos. Experience with drawing, painting, aesthetics and Adobe Creative suite all influence my decisions and creative ability as a photographer.
What are your prices and packages for weddings?
Please contact me through the contact tab at the top of the site for a current, updated pricing list. I offer wedding coverage for EVERY budget. Take a look through the galleries on my website and if you like what you see, I'd love to meet with you and hear more about your wedding. We offer packages from 5 hours all the way up to entire day wedding coverage.
How do I pay you?
I accept credit and debit cards through Square as well as cash, check and Venmo.
How will my photos be edited and is that an extra cost?
My policy with Photoshop is that you should not be able to notice a photo has been 'photoshopped.' Any editing that needs to be done, such as blemishes or scars you would like to have masked in a photo will be done at no extra cost. I won't be charging you $50 a photo to fix something that literally takes a second and is already incorporated into the price of the wedding package.
Can I add a second shooter?
A second shooter can definitely be part of wedding day coverage.
Do you have backup equipment?
Yes I do! I always carry an extra camera body, lenses, batteries and flash at the minimum. I'm kind of obsessive about it!
What is an ideal timeline for wedding day photos?
It varies with every wedding because each wedding is unique. When I meet with you, we will discuss what you already know about your wedding day timeline and go from there. Ideally, I will arrive with at least 2 hours to take photos of details and 'getting ready.' Also, having a 'first look' before the ceremony allows you to have more free time after the ceremony. A first look is a special time set aside before the ceremony when the bride and groom see each other and have a mini photo session. This saves time and means you can get to your reception and guests quicker. If you opt for the more traditional route, after the ceremony is when group photos/couples' photos will take place
How many photos will I receive?
For 5 hour weddings, I average around 400-500 finished photos on a flash drive so approximately 100 images an hour give or take.
